Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak
    1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Season both sides of each steak with coarse sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, and smoked paprika
  2. Heat the Pan
    1. Place a heavy skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot before adding the steaks.
  3. Sear the Steaks
    1. Add a bit of oil to the hot pan. Carefully place the steaks in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare doneness, adjusting time based on your preference.
  4. Garlic Butter Sauce
    1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat.
  5. Baste the Steaks
    1. Once the steaks are seared to your liking, reduce the heat to low. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the steaks, ensuring they are well-coated. Allow the steaks to rest in the pan for a couple of minutes.
  6. Serve
    1. Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice against the grain and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the top. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
