  1. Preheat Oven
    1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Potatoes
    1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly. Slice thin slits into the potato, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  3. Melt Butter
    1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the olive oil and minced garlic to the melted butter.
  4. Season Potatoes
    1. Brush the butter mixture over the potatoes, making sure to get into the slits. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme.
  5. Bake Potatoes
    1. Place the potatoes on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  6. Serve
    1. Remove the potatoes from the oven, allow them to cool slightly, and serve.
