- Preparation of ingredients
- Wash the basil leaves and dry them gently. Peel the garlic cloves. Grate the Parmesan cheese.

- In a food processor, combine basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Process until finely chopped.
- Adding the oil
- While the food processor is running, gradually add the olive oil. Continue to process until the pesto is fully combined and smooth.
- Storing the pesto
- The pesto can be used right away, or stored in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to one week.
